THIS YEAR'S RACES
SALFORD 10K ROAD RACE
The 2009 Salford 10K Road Race will take place on the Good Friday Bank Holiday, 10th April 2009.
The race will again begin at 10.00am and registration will take place in the
Salford Sports Village on Littleton Road, Lower Kersal, M7 3AP.
There are changing and shower facilities, with limited parking.
The race takes place over two laps on a fast accurately measured course.
Will anybody come close to the course records held by Dave Lewis (29m32s) and Tracey Morris (33m22s)?
There is an extensive prize list, including vets. and team awards, plus £100 for breaking the course record.
This year's entry fees are £7 club athletes, £9 unattached, plus £1 extra for entries on race day.
This year we are also accepting online entries.
SALFORD 5K ROAD RACE
The 18th Salford 5K Road Race will be held this year on Saturday 9th May 2009.
The race takes place on an accurately measured, traffic-free course in Heaton Park, Prestwich,
Manchester, with the start/finish at the Grand Lodge Entrance, off A665 Bury Old Road.
This year's race will begin at 11.30am. There is also an Under 17 3K race beginning at 11.00am
with awards for U17, U15 and U13 (3K race is £2, plus £1 extra on the day).
There is an extensive prize list for the main races, including vets. and team awards.
This year's entry fees will be £4 club athletes, £6 unattached, plus £1 extra for entries on race day.
BOGGART CHASE 10K
This year's Boggart Chase 10K will take place in September 2009.
As in previous years the 10K race will begin at 11.15am from Boggart Hole Clough Track, Charlestown Road, Blackley, Manchester, with the 3K road race for Under 13, 15 and 17s getting under way at 10.30am.
Entry to the latter costs just £2, plus an extra £1 for entries on the day.
For the Chase entry fees are £4 club athletes, £6 unattached, with an extra £1 payable for entries on race day.
