**All training is still currently suspended**
Tuesdays - 18:30
SportCity - Manchester Regional Arena, Gate 13, Rowsley Street, Manchester M11 3FF.
We meet in the Cafe Area by the indoor arena then go out for a warm up outside track area on the roads around the stadium before heading onto the track for the session. The session starts at 7pm and goes on for about 45 minutes before a warm down on the track.
Sessions are run by Stan Curran and Dave Hudson
Secure changing and showers available.
Charges apply to use the track but concession price is available to Salford Harrier members.
If Manchester City are playing at home on a Tuesday night, we do our alternative hill session at Boggart Hole Clough. We meet at the same time 1830 by the Track within the park. The entrance is off Charlestown Road (opposite Grangepark Road). We do a gentle warm up before doing the hill session.
The Bluebell Can be found at 493 Moston Ln, Manchester M40 9PY. If you arrive and the side gate isn't open, then you can enter the pub, turn left and go through the far doors near the toilets. There are both men's and women's changing rooms/showers and we will go for a drink as usual after the run in the pub itself. There is a bus stop right outside if you get public transport from Manchester or Oldham.
Also be aware the runs may be slightly longer due to this change.
We have a series of summer and winter runs which are all between 7-9 miles. We have all abilities on a thursday night and there will always be someone to run with. If you are intending to coming down please use the contact us form and let us know you are coming so we can look out for you.
We have also recently introduced tempo sessions on a thursday. Starting with an easy warmp up, we then use a 4 mile loop for the seesion.
You can view some of our current runs below
After the run we go into the bluebell for a post run drink.
Saturdays - 09:30
On saturdays a group meet in heaton park for a session which can either be on the paths within in the park or, in the winter, on the grass for a cross country session (its a good idea to bring XC spikes if you have some).
We meet in the golf course carpark and start with a short warmup before going into the session.
Occasionally these sessions are cancelled if there is a race on later on a saturday (XC, Relays, Club Race). If this is going to happen we'll aim to put a notice out either on the club email or on our twitter page.
